NMRC Rural Recycling Training & Annual
Meeting. Co-hosted by the
New Mexico Recycling Coalition & New Mexico Environment
Department: Solid Waste Bureau
The 2009 Annual Member Meeting & Workshop will focus on
Rural Recycling - The State of New Mexico and take place
June 3rd at UNM Science & Technology Park Rotunda at the University of NM in Albuquerque from 9:00 am to
4:00 pm.

The one-day workshop will focus on:
- Presentations from outstanding
rural programs with guest speakers from Estancia Valley
Solid Waste Authority, Santa Ana Pueblo & the Village of
Angel Fire
- Best practices on collection,
processing and storage methods
- Cooperative processing and/or
marketing of recyclables
- Development of a Community
Recycling Action Plan
- Setting up rural recycling
programs
- Technical assistance from
Recycling Professionals to start or expand your program
- Recycling grant funding
Registration is $30 for NMRC Members
and $40 for Non-members and includes lunch. The
workshop is FREE to communities with 10,000 residents or
less, however participants still need to register.
