The New Mexico Recycling Coalition and the New Mexico Environment Department: Solid Waste Bureau hosted a conference that serves to educate and unite New Mexicans serving on the recycling front. The conference catered to the needs of recycling and composting professionals.

The New Mexico Recycling Conference included a total of 315 unique individuals that attended some portion of the conference. This breaks down as 183 unique attendees, 42 special guest for the Tuesday afternoon Recycling Awards Ceremony and 90 additional registrants for the Wednesday afternoon Setting up Recycling within the Hospitality Industry and the Construction & Demolition. The show included 27 exhibitors representing a wide range of businesses, service providers and nonprofits. The breakout sessions included 48 speakers discussing information related to the world of recycling.

Getting from the airport to the hotel: Call Sunport Shuttle at 505-883-4966. Rates are $13.00 one way + $5.00 for each additional person. They have a booth on the baggage claim level at the airport where you check in. The hotel is about 10 minutes from the airport and taxi cabs are available as well.
